Innocent At First

An innocent first spotting tainted by disgust
Scantily dressed and driven by lust
Stinging my nostrils, their cheap perfumed musk
The sight of them hidden only by dusk

But in the light of day, voluptuous and round
A tacky, garish mass carrying many a pound
Misguided and misplaced, just like lost and found
Drink, dance, drink, scream, target and surround

And before I get a chance to run and disappear
One of them had trapped me, fueling my fear
You too would cringe if your eyes did see her
Clutching my body and whispering in my ear

What is that dialect, it doesn’t make sense
I had no response, I had no defence
So as soon as I could I ran for the gents
There I hid between the cistern and the vents
